Now that the WWE Draft is in the books and the World Heavyweight Championship will be on Raw , it is time to look at the potential list of Raw Superstars who could win the new title and the winner will be crowned in a tournament that will take place starting next week and the final of that tournament will take place at Night of Champions on 27th May.
WWE Raw has a great list of main event talent and a lot of them will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship and among them the Top 5 will be named in this article and they will be the most likely who could win this coveted championship.
So, let’s look at the Top 5 Raw Superstars who could win the World Heavyweight Championship:
1) Seth Rollins
At the top of the list is Seth Rollins and he has been the only one over the past 2 weeks on Raw who has been doing promos that he will be the first World Heavyweight Champion and it looks like he will most likely be the one. The crowds are red hot for Seth Rollins and he is getting the biggest ovations from the fans everywhere he goes. Recently in Paris Seth Rollins was serenaded with his theme song for 10 minutes non stop and he is the best wrestler on Raw. So, it makes all the sense in the world to make him the first Champion.
2) Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has a big match against Brock Lesnar and he will most likely win this match and because he is in Raw , he will be surely among those WWE superstars who will be a part of that tournament and he will be one of the favorites to win the World Heavyweight Championship and he could face Seth Rollins in the final. Cody Rhodes has said that he wants the title that Roman Reigns has but he will have to compete for this title now and he will try his best to raise the prestige of the new World Heavyweight Championship.
3) Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre is also one of the top WWE superstars who have been drafted to Raw and he will also be in the running for the World Heavyweight Championship because he has been a 2 time WWE champion and he would be eager to show the WWE universe that he still has what it takes to become a World Champion. The World Heavyweight Championship will give an opportunity to Drew McIntyre to become a World Champion in front of live fans.
4) Finn Balor
Finn Balor was involved in a similar tournament in 2016 and that time it was to crown the first Universal Champion and he won that tournament when he beat Seth Rollins in the final in an incredible match but he got injured and he never had a proper run with the title. Now he is doing some of the best work of his career in The Judgement Day and he would be eager to become a World Champion and he will be a great candidate to become the first World Heavyweight Champion.
5) Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura is a WWE superstar who should have been a World Champion by now and he is too good to not be a World Champion in his run with WWE. And the new World Heavyweight Championship will give him the opportunity to fight for a World title and he will give it his all to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Shinsuke Nakamura would look good with the World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H should think about him when he is deciding the winner of this title.
