After talking about one of the WWE legends in Samoa Joe we will talk about one of the all time NXT legends in history. This man was the cornerstone of NXT for 7 years and he had some of the best Matches of his career in NXT. We are talking about none other than Tomssso Ciampa who was a 2 time NXT champion and he just recently moved to Raw and has been doing well under Triple H. Tomssso Ciampa is one of the best characters as well and his heel work was second to none.
Before we talk about the best WWE Matches of Tomssso Ciampa I want to say that he still has a good 5-7 years of his WWE run left in him and he still can have lots of more incredible matches and we will do another list when he retires but for now let’s celebrate this generational talent by looking at his Top 5 Best WWE Matches.
Tomssso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano – NXT Takeover New Orleans
We put this match in the Johnny Gargano best matches so obviously this would be in the best matches list of Tomssso Ciampa and many believe that this is the best match that he had in NXT history. This match was an Unsanctioned match and here both these men played it perfectly and Tomssso Ciampa came out to no music and was booed out the building and he was exceptional and they had an incredible 30 minutes 5 star match. This is also my favorite match of his.

Tomssso Ciampa vs Velveteen Dream – NXT Takeover Wargames 2
This match happened against a very young talent in Velveteen Dream and this was one of the best Matches of both men’s careers. This was a 23 minutes classic where Tomssso Ciampa was the veteran who allowed the young Dream to shine and have his moments in the match and the crowd began to love him more and Ciampa almost lost the title but in the end it was the experience of Tomssso Ciampa that helped him get the win. This match I was lucky to see live.

Tomssso Ciampa vs Adam Cole – NXT Takeover Portland
This match happened in 2020 and Tomssso Ciampa went against Adam Cole for the NXT title and they had a 34 minutes banger from top to bottom and this was a 5 star match in my opinion. They both went at it and aa wrestling technicians they had a perfect match in which the crowd was rooting for both men and Tomssso Ciampa got to show how great he had become and Adam Cole did the same and in the end after a gruelling 34 minutes it was Adam Cole who retained the title. This match was one which you have to see.

DIY vs Revival – NXT Takeover Toronto
This is the first tag team match on this list and this is frankly one of the greatest tag team Matches of the last 7 years as these 2 teams went out there to steal the show and give the fans a match they will never forget. Tomssso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano or DIY were going for the titles in a 2 out of 3 falls match and Revival got the first fall and then the comeback story of these 2 began and Tomssso Ciampa showed his tag team skills as he expertly guided the team and when the match ended it was he and Johnny Gargano who won the NXT tag team titles.

Tomssso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano – NXT Takeover Chicago
The 5th match in this list is fitting, that is another Takeover match vs Johnny Gargano and this time it was in Chicago. These 2 were coming off an insane match at Takeover New Orleans and they more than lived up to it in this Chicago Street Fight and this match also went on for 30 minutes and they beat the heck out of each other once again. The fans loved every second of it and the heel work of Tomssso Ciampa was incredible and he won this match .
