We talked about the first 4 matches in Part 1 of the results article and we also talked about the returns of Bayley, Dakota Kai, Io Shirai and Edge and till now the show has been going on top gear and then came the later half of the show and it was as strong as the first phase and 1 match in particular ensured that which we will talk about below. SummerSlam this year was one of those shows where I had a great time watching 3:40 hours of great action and I was entertained to the max.
So, let’s talk about the Part 2 of the SummerSlam results and here there are also some moments that I have never seen before in a WWE ring and the main event is something about which I have to talk about in some detail.
Pat McAfee vs Happy Corbin
Firstly let me get this out of the way that this was not a Wrestling clinic and it did not need to be because it was great the way it was and rhe imperfections made it even better. Pat McAfee got a great entrance where a choir was singing Corbin in a way that would upset him. It wax a 11 minute match and here Pat showed he can adapt in difficult situations and he was able to do high flying moves as well. Pat McAfee won after hitting a sit down power bomb.
The Usos vs The Street Profits – WWE Undisputed Tag team Championship
This was the rematch that everyone was looking forward to the list because these 2 teams are magic together and this match was no exception and this match was 14 minutes long and they put a lot into it and Jeff Jarrett as the special guest referee was great and The Usos won this match and continue their historic reign.
Seth Rollins attacks Riddle
Riddle came out to the ring to call out Seth Rollins and he came and again he stomped Riddle and injured him again and it was sad that Seth Rollins did not have a match tonight but it was nice to see him in the show.
Liv Morgan vs Ronda Rousey – SmackDown Women’s Championship
This was the second last match of the night and it only went for 5 minutes and Ronda Rousey dominated Liv for most of the match and the finish was clever as Liv pinned Ronda and at the same time Ronda tapped Liv out and after the match Ronda Rousey turned heel and this was the right move for her. A rematch is in the cards at Clash of the Castle.
Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar – WWE Undisputed Universal Championship
We finally have come to the main event and probably my favorite match of 2022 and it will be very hard to top this. Brock Lesnar came in a tractor and that vehicle would be the third most important part of the match. This is the conclusion that the long and epic Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar feud deserved as it had everything from chairs to tables to steps to the announce table and even the ring was involved n Brock and Roman beat the hell out of each other and at one point in the match Brock used the tractor to completely make the ring fall and along with it Roman Reigns. It was a brutal 23 minutes match and it is easily the best Last Man Standing Match. Roman Reigns retained his title after burying everything above Brock and standing on top of him at the end. I will never forget the experience of watching this match ever. Thank you Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Now we look forward to Clash of the Castle which will be the first UK WWE PPV in 30 years and it will have more than 70,000 loud WWE fans.
