Should Roman Reigns break the 1474 Day World Championship reign of Hulk Hogan

Roman Reigns is fast approaching the 1000 day reign mark as Universal Champion and ever since his surprising win at WrestleMania 39, the fans have begun speculating as to how long will Roman Reigns hold the title for because now that Cody Rhodes has not been able to beat Roman Reigns, the ceiling for this reign is limitless. Roman Reigns just keeps getting better and better and he looks to be in no mood to stop.

For almost 3 years Roman Reigns has been at the top of WWE and he has been the guy and nobody has been able to beat him. He has defended the titles 28 times and the 29th time will most likely be the 1000th day of his reign which will be in Saudi Arabia at Night of Champions.

So, let’s discuss whether Roman Reigns should break the record by Hulk Hogan:

No, Roman Reigns should not break the 1474 day record of Hulk Hogan

There are multiple reasons for this assessment. Firstly this is not 1985 and this is 2023 and Roman Reigns has held the Title for far longer than anyone would have imagined because when this reign started nobody expected that he would hold it for 1000 days and nobody in the future will hold it for this long because this is an ever changing industry and a lot of top guys are present in WWE and Roman Reigns is a singular talent and there will not be another like him.

Roman Reigns also has the best faction in WWE history as the Bloodline are in full force over these 3 years with Roman Reigns as Champion and they have also grown to be bigger stars like Jey Uso has become Main Event Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso has become so much better and they hav a record 622 day reign as tag team champions. Solo Sikoa has only been in the Bloodline for little less than a year and he has become infinite times better in these past months. Roman Reigns has made everyone in the ring better and his story with Sami Zayn that lasted for 9 months was the best part about this run.

Hulk Hogan was the biggest star of his era and there was no one who was at his level and during that time WWE was not as international as it is now and at that time WWE only had 4 big shows per year so the title defenses were limited unlike Roman Reigns who has to defend his titles in many occasions throughout the year and this year will be the year that this legendary reign will come to an end. And reaching 1000 days will be a record that will be only held by Roman Reigns in this generation or in the next multiple generations . Therefore Roman Reigns need not break the 1474 day reign of Hulk Hogan.
