One of the most storied Rivalries of the past decade has been the feud between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns which has seen its fair share of twists and turns and therefore it has become one of the most sought after WWE Rivalries. Both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are two of the best wrestlers in WWE today and whenever they face off it is always a big deal.
Both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns came to WWE in 2012 which was more than a decade ago and the journey they have been on has been a wild ride and it has not yet finished as a fair few chapters of this Rivalry are left.
Let’s look at the decade plus history between these 2 men:
The Shield
Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose debuted in WWE together as The Shield in 2012 and WWE was never the same again because these 3 went on a rampage and they won all their matches and beat everyone in their path. The biggest of WWE superstars were not spared going from The Rock to The Undertaker to Triple H to everyone. The Shield won titles in WWE quickly as they won the tag team titles as well as the United States Championship and for the next 2 years they were untouchable.

The Betrayal and the first feud
Then came 2014 and The Shield were on top of the world but on an episode of Raw something happened that changed the course of the Rivalry forever. Seth Rollins broke the group and that affected Roman Reigns a lot and both of them went into a feud straight after and Seth Rollins best Roman Reigns with the help of The Authority but their main feud came later.

The glorious days of 2016
Seth Rollins was injured in late 2015 and he was out till the mid of 2016 and he returned at Extreme Rules and Roman Reigns was challenged for the WWE Championship and at Money in the bank they had a banger match which Seth Rollins won and the fans were happy but the happiness of Seth Rollins did not last long as Dean Ambrose cashed in his Money in the bank and became WWE Champion.

Shield Reunited
In 2018 both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were faces along with Dean Ambrose and the incredible happened after months of build as the WWE universe saw The Shield reunite as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were on the same side and it was great to see and they won the tag team titles as well. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were best friends and then came the day Roman Reigns announced he had leukemia and in 2019 when he came back The Shield had one last tour.

Royal Rumble 2022
The latest chapter of their feud happened last year at the Royal Rumble and the build to the match was incredible. Seth Rollins was playing mind games with Roman Reigns and the generally calm Roman Reigns lost it In this feud and the fans could not get enough of it. Then the match happened and it was the only saving grace from an otherwise bad Royal Rumble event.
