2021 was a great year for WWE in ring action and there were a lot of amazing matches between different superstars across the year. Roman Reigns solidified how status as the undisputed king of WWE, Bobby Lashley and Big E made history by becoming WWE champion, Bianca Belair cemented herself as a main event player and many more things happened.
This year was a mixture of the Thunderdome era and since July WWE has performed in front of live crowds and electrified audiences around the world. The wrestlers also had a spring in their step and performed at the highest level. Let’s look at the Best 5 WWE matches of 2021.
1. Roman Reigns vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan – WrestleMania 37 :
This match was the best WWE match of the year and it was one of the best Triple threat matches ever and all Three superstars delivered that night. They told a great story throughout the match and kept countering each other regularly , Edge and Daniel tried to Lin Roman or take him out and have a one on one match but Roman was on a different level , he took everything they gave him and one time both of them had their submission moves at the Same time but still in the end of the match Roman Reigns stacked both of his opponents and pinned then together to retain his Universal Championship.

2. Sasha banks vs Bianca Belair- WrestleMania 37:
This match was a historic match in not just WWE History but in the history of professional wrestling as a whole as for the first time Two Women of color main evented WrestleMania and the emotions were high from both the superstars. The most amazing thing is that despite the occasion and the importance of it ,it didn’t hamper their performance and both of them put on a match for the ages. Bianca Belair showed why she was being built as the next big thing and Sasha showed why she is an all time great and their chemistry was incredible as well and in the end Bianca Belair won the SmackDown women’s championship by pinning Sasha banks.
3. Edge vs Seth Rollins- Crown Jewel:
This trilogy of matches between these Two Elite wrestlers was one of the best rivalries of the year and the matches they had with each other just kept getting better. This Hell in a cell match at Crown Jewel was the conclusion of the Trilogy and both the superstars were on their A Game that night. They beat the living hell out of each other and had innovative offence throughout the match especially a table spot which was brutal. The storytelling in this match was top tier as they brought out all the elements of their rivalry and Seth Rollins tried to end Edge with a stomp but Edge was ahead and he hit the stomp to Seth and won the match and the rivalry. It was the best Hell in a cell match in years
4. Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair- Survivor Series:
No one had any idea how this match was gonna play out because before this match the relations between the Two top females of WWE. They had a bad fallout and the anticipation of this match grew a lot and these two Women did not disappoint on the big stage as they beat each other and tried to hurt each other as well and that made for compelling TV, they had a great wrestling match and they showed why they are two of the best countering each other all the time but in the end it was Becky Lynch who was smarter and used the ropes to get the pin and the bragging rights as well.

5. Walter vs Ilja Dragunov – NXT Takeover 36:
After their first match on NXT UK which was the best match of 2020 they met again on the big stage of NXT Takeover and this match was for the NXT United Kingdom championship and Walter was the champion for over 800 days going into this match. Both of them hit each other so hard that the crowd got uncomfortable and the wrestling in this match was out of this world good. The crowd kept going crazy throughout this 30 minute classic and Walter didn’t look like losing but Ilja didn’t give up and finally in the end he dethroned Walter to win the championship. They second match was as good as the first.
