On Wednesday (September 27), the Indian women's 25m air pistol team won the gold medal with an incredible performance at the Asian Games 2023.

Esha Singh, Manu Bhaker, and Rhythm Sangwan together shined for India and proudly uplifted the country’s flag by securing a gold medal. While India’s combined score was 1759, China (1756) and South Korea (1742) clinched the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
While Manu Bhaker was the best performer from India with a score of 590 (28x), Esha Singh scored 586 (17x), and Rhythm Sangwan managed 583 points (23x). Among the individual performers in that event, Manu was on top, Esha managed the fifth position, and the seventh Rhythm missed out on the individual event for not becoming the top two shooters from a country among the top eight finalists.

Later, in the individual women's 25m air pistol final event, Esha Singh won the silver medal. While the gold medalist Chinese shooter Rui Liu set up a new Asian Games record (38), Esha accumulated 34 points.
South Korean Jiin Yang scored 29 points to secure the bronze medal for her country. Meanwhile, Manu Bhaker finished in the fifth position in that individual final event with 21 points.
