Pro Kabaddi League heavyweight Dabang Delhi KC are set to lockhorns against Puneri Paltan, slated on December 23. Earlier, Dabang Delhi had a phenomenal outing during the last season where they finished at the top of the points table in PKL 7. However, they lost against the gutsy Bengal Warriors in the final of season 7.
During the recently concluded auction for PKL 8, Dabang Delhi assured that they have build the strong team who can clinch the title.

With this, have a look at reasons why Dabang Delhi could again dominate this coming season of Pro Kabaddi League season 8.
1. Retention of Youngsters:
Star raider Naveen Kumar played a crucial role in getting his side to the final in PKL 7. Notably, he came into the season through NYP program. Additionally, the franchise has shown immense faith in the youngsters with the likes of Neeraj and Vijay. Neeraj, who acted as an opportunist, grabbed the opportunity whenever given and took full advantage of it. He scored a Super 10 also. On the other hand, Vijay with his all rounder display proved how important he could be and can definitely add value to the team. He is just one point away from scalping 200 PKL points.
2.Rock Solid Defense:
The biggest strength of Dabang Delhi is its impregnable defense. With the likes of Jeeva Kumar, Joginder and Sandeep Narwal are the main pillars of the team. Notably, the presence of Manjeet Chillar with his defensive abilities would be icing on the cake.
3. Acquiring key veterans:
Dabang Delhi heavily banked on some of the most experienced players of the league. They spent big amounts and acquired Sandeep Narwal,Jeeva Kumar and Ajay Thakur. Ajay Thakur, the star raider, not only for the league but also played a crucial role for team India in winning the World Cup. Notably, Sandeep has clinched 249 raid points and 310 tackle points. Meanwhile, Jeeva Kumar has 211 tackle points to his name from 122 encounters. Additionally, last season’s captain Joginder Narwal was brought back in the team which is good news for the franchise and fans.
In totality, Dabangg Delhi could go all guns blazing in the upcoming season of PKL 8 as they have specialists and experienced players to fill in for every position. And hence, they would certainly like to go one step ahead compared to the previous season where they finished as runners-up.
