The upcoming season of Pro Kabaddi, slated to commence from December 22 in Bengaluru,is considered as the most watched league in India after Indian Premier League. This extravaganza event will be conducted behind closed doors keeping the COVID-19 pandemic in mind. Notably, there will be no fans in attendance.

However, the superstar raiders of the teams will keep the league alive and will make the contest mouth-watering for the viewers despite not having live-spectators. Additionally, the raiders will have to make themselves encouraged during the crucial moments during the match as they will be missing the loud cheer from the live-audience. It would be interesting to see which raiders impact the match result in terms of scoring points.

1. Rahul Chaudhari (Puneri Paltan): 


Known as the “Poster boy”, Rahul Chaudhari is one of the most successful players in the history of PKL. Starting his PKL journey with Telugu Titans, Chaudhari has proved his mettle oftenly during his tenure at Titans. After his stint at Titans, the star-raider moved to Tamil Thalaivas but failed perform well in 2019. However, Rahul will be looking to reinstate his career at his new home.i.e Puneri Paltan, who grabbed him for just Rs. 40 lakh at the Pro Kabaddi 2021 Auction.



2. Pardeep Narwal (UP Yoddha): 


Known as the “ Dubki King”, Pardeep is the only player to score more than 1000 raid points in the league’s history. The star-raider spearheaded the Patna Pirates’ attack during his stint at the club. Notably, Narwal is a 3-time PKL winner and became the most expensive pick in the PKL Auction history. This year,team UP Yoddha trusted Narwal and bought him for a mouth-watering price i.e 1.65 crore. It will be fascinating to see if Pardeep puts justice to his buying price.


3. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat (Bengaluru Bulls): 


With sheer pace and nerves of steel, Pawan Kumar Sehrawat has proved as the top performer in recent years by breaking impregnable defence of the oppositions. He scored 360 points in the 2019 Pro Kabaddi League and was also the most successful raider in PKL 7. Sehrawat will be looking to continue his streak and will be eyeing to continue his instrumental display. It will be interesting to see how the star-raider performs this season considering the fact that the Bulls’ failed to win the league despite Pawan’s outstanding performances.



4. Maninder Singh (Bengal Warriors): 


Bengal Warriors superstar Maninder Singh was crucial in his team’s first PKL league win in 2019. Singh has played an anchoring role especially in the last few seasons to make Bengal Warriors achieve new feats.Notably, Singh grabbed 205 raid points in 20 encounters at an average of 10.25 raid points per match. Additionally, he managed to register 10 Super 10s in the last PKL season. And hence, it will be enticing to see how Maninder plays in the upcoming season as the fans will look forward to see if their star player can continue his good displays.
