The final draw for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup hosted by Qatar took place in Doha as 24 qualified teams got to know their opponents in the 18th edition of the tournament. The event was initially scheduled to be held in China from 16 June to 16 July 2023. However, the base was shifted to the Middle East nation after China withdrew from being the host due to the pandemic. Due to the high summer temperatures in Qatar, the tournament got rescheduled to 12 January with the final on 10 February 2024.
The teams got divided into six groups with hosts and defending champions Qatar taking the first spot in Group A. Six group winners and the six group runners-up will qualify directly to the round of 16 stage of the competition joined by the four best third-placed sides.
