While 333 players were shortlisted from 1166 registered players for the IPL 2024 auction, 214 cricketers were Indians among the shortlisted names.
A total of 77 slots were available to be filled at the IPL 2024 auction, and 42 Indians were bought by the teams in that auction.

Uncapped Indian cricketer Robin Minz was involved in an interesting bidding war at the IPL 2024 auction. Chennai Super Kings started the bidding war from the base price of INR 20 lakh, where they faced a long battle against their rivals Mumbai Indians. From INR 1.40 crore, Gujarat Titans replaced CSK. SunRisers Hyderabad made a late entry in that bidding war (from INR 3 crore), but Titans ultimately won Minz for INR 3.60 crore.
Shardul Thakur (CSK) - 4 Crore
Although the Indian right-arm pacer Shardul Thakur was expected to be part of a strong bidding war, his battle was quickly ended. From his INR 2 crore base price, it was the only battle between Chennai Super Kings and SunRisers Hyderabad, where CSK finally won the battle for INR 4 crore.
At the IPL 2024 auction, Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore had a long battle for the uncapped Indian bowler Yash Dayal. His bidding war started from the base price of INR 20 lakh, and RCB finalised him for INR 5 crore.
The uncapped Indian left-handed power-hitter Shubham Dubey was a special name for two teams at the IPL 2024 auction. Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals battle started from INR 20 lakh, and Rajasthan Royals have finally welcomed him for an INR 5.80 crore bid.

Initially, it was the battle between CSK and GT, while DC replaced CSK at INR 70 lakh, and the GT vs DC battle went on for a very long. Ultimately, Delhi Capitals won that bid for INR 7.20 crore.
Uncapped Shahrukh Khan was expected to be part of a strong bidding war for a good record in his early IPL career. The bid war started from the base price of INR 40 lakh, where his former team Punjab Kings had a battle against Gujarat Titans. Ultimately, Titans won the bid for INR 7.40 crore.
IPL 2024 auction stunned the cricket world with a long bidding war for the uncapped batter Sameer Rizvi, whose base price was INR 20 lakh. Lucknow SuperGiants only replaced GT for INR 11 crore, but Punjab Kings finally won the cricketer for INR 11.75 crore – the highest bid for any Indian cricketer at the IPL 2024 auction.
