Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer Rajat Patidar created a new history by scoring a century in the Eliminator of the IPL 2022 against Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG).
Last Wednesday (25th May) night, RCB faced LSG in the Eliminator of the IPL 2022 at Eden Gardens (Kolkata). While RCB scored 207/4 in 20 overs after losing the toss, LSG managed to reply with 193/6 in 20 overs. With that 14-run win, RCB qualified for the Qualifier 2, where they will meet Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ahmedabad this Friday (27th May) night.
Rajat Patidar scored 112 not out
In the latest Eliminator, the 28-year-old Rajat Patidar smashed 112 not out off 54 balls with the help of 12 fours and 7 sixes. His batting played a massive role for RCB’s victory in that game. Undoubtedly, the uncapped player also won the Player of the Match award for that crucial knock.

Century in IPL playoffs
Rajat Patidar recorded the joint-fastest century in IPL playoffs history. While he completed this latest century in 49 balls, he equalled the record of Kings XI Punjab batter Wriddhiman Saha’s 49-ball century against Kolkata Knight Riders during the IPL 2014 final.
Patidar became the first player to score a century in an Eliminator game of the IPL.
