Should the Mens IPL Team Owners also be the owners of the Women IPL teams?

Since the Women’s IPL is inching closer, we will start to get more announcements and news and we will write more articles about the historic event that is about to take place which will take Women’s cricket to a new level in India. One of the more interesting questions is who will be the owners of the teams in the Women’s IPL and in this article I will talk about the fact that the owners of the Men’s IPL teams should also own the teams in this league.

Before we talk about this , I want to say that it is extremely exciting that the women will get the same opportunities as the men and they will also get to play in front of packed stadiums and get big money so that their finances can be secure. The Women’s IPL will be one of the most important sporting events of next year. So, let’s talk about this question.

Yes, The Owners of the Men’s is teams should also the Women’s of teams

I think that the owners who already own teams in the Men’s IPL should also own them in the Women’s of and I have a few reasons for it. The first reason is that these owners know how the IPL works and they will be aware of how to structure a team in the league and pick the best players and build a squad capable of winning the Women’s IPL. All these teams know how to give opportunities to talents that no one has seen before as well.

The second reason is that these teams already have huge fan bases so it will be easy to get the fans on the bandwagon for the league pretty fast. The Chennai Super Kings or the Mumbai Indians or Kolkata Knight Riders have millions of fans and if they also have a Women’s IPL team then the players will immediately connect with the fans and the fans will want them to do very well.

And the third reason is that there is a brand value attached to each of the teams in the Men’s IPL and so this brand value will also help the Women’s IPL and the league will only get richer as the talks are that the teams will go north of 1000 crores each and as there will be 5 or 6 teams, the Women’s IPL will already become a billion dollar league. If there are new owners then it will take time to get the ground running but the same problem will not arise from the existing owners.
