The first race of the new season is in the books and as expected Max Verstappen took the win and he looks good to go back to back to back for 3 titles in 3 years but that is not what the Formula 1 fans want as they want to see competition and there might be a few surprise drivers who could pull off the upset at the end of the season and there is a very real possibility that a new Champion is crowned if these drivers perform at their best.

Let’s look at the list of the Top 3 Formula 1 Drivers who could surprise this season and win the title:
1) Sergio Perez
Sergio Perez is always looked as the second best driver in Red Bull and he has never won the World Championship and has always been in the shadow of Max Verstappen but if he decides to go for it this season then Red Bull will not be able to stop him from going for the title and it will be a surprise if he wins the title from his teammate Max Verstappen and since Sergio Perez is older therefore he may not have many opportunities to win the title.

2) Fernando Alonso
This all-time great of the sport has already shown what he can do if given the right car to drive and in the first race of the 2023 season the Aston Martin car was great and he delivered a podium finish in the first race with the new team. And it is looking good for the legendary Spanish driver who looks to win his 3rd World Championship. And most of the Formula 1 fans are rooting for him to do the unthinkable and dethrone Max Verstappen.

The third driver who could pull off a shocker this season is the Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz. His hero is none other than Fernando Alonso and for him to be in the same grid as his hero is something that he absolutely loves and he would love to win his first World Championship and if the Ferrari tactics are right and he drives better than Charles Leclerc then the Ferrari team will encourage him to go for the title and it will be sweet for him to win the title.
