Brazilian F1 Grand Prix 2022 Results

One more weekend and one more Formula 1 race and this was a good one and there was drama, great racing and a bit of controversy as well. Now the battle for second place is heating up and there are 2 drivers who are in the running for second place and the Brazilian fans also were treated to a great race. We are nearing the end of the Formula 1 season and let’s see what happens in the remaining races.

Before we get into the race, I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed covering my first Formula 1 season and the response from our readers has been great as well and that motivates me to do better and we will be back in the 2023 season with a new set of races. So, let’s get into the race results.


Race Results

The race started and immediately we have a big crash when Daniel Ricciardo and Kevin Magnussen and both are out of the race. George Russell leads the Grand Prix. Lap 7 and the race starts again and it is George Russell in the lead and Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton collide. Lap 11 and Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc have pitted. Lap 13 and Max Verstappen and Lando Norris both get 5 second penalties. Lap 15 and Lewis Hamilton is in P4 and just 9 seconds behind the leader. Lap 24 and Sergio Perez is in P6 after his pit stop.

Lap 28 and Fernando Alonso is in P6 and he has having a great race. Lap 30 and Lewis Hamilton goes for the mediums which indicates a one pit stop race . Lap 34 and Max Verstappen is in P15 after his 5 second penalty. Lap 41 and George Russell has a 7.7 second penalty over Sergio Perez. Lap 46 and Lewis Hamilton gets ahead of Sergio Perez to make it a Mercedes 1-2 in the race. Lap 47 and Max Verstappen is back in P6. Lap 51 and Lando Norris is out of the race and Virtual Safety Car is out again.

Lap 59 and the race Starts again and it is George Russell who gets ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton. Lap 63 and It is George Russell and Lewis Hamilton for P1 and Carlos Sainz gets past Sergio Perez for P3. Lap 68 and the 2 Mercedes drivers are going at it but respectfully. And it us the finish and George Russell takes the pole from his teammate Lewis Hamilton and it meant a lot to him.
