With the additions of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski at the start of 2022's January transfer window, the Lilywhites had success. Both former Juventus players continue to be vital players and were instrumental in Spurs' top-four finish last season, beating out their rivals from north London.

Tottenham spent nearly £100 million on seven new recruits during the frenetic summer transfer period, including Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Destiny Udogie, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, and Clement Lenglet. Following a thrilling 4-3 comeback victory over Leeds, Spurs entered the World Cup break eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal and three points ahead of Manchester United in the top four. Here, we examine the top targets for Tottenham in the next summer transfer window.

David Raya

The Spaniard, whose deal with Brentford is set to end in 2024, has declined many extension offers from the organization. But he has consistently stated that he is content with the Bees. With Hugo Lloris’ future uncertain, Raya could be a really good addition to the Tottenham team.

Josip Sutalo

Tottenham is keeping a close eye on Dinamo Zagreb defender Josip Sutalo of Croatia. Spurs' rivals in north London, Arsenal, will present a tough challenge, as they are also eager to add some defensive reinforcements. The 22-year-old is a flexible option who might develop under a new Spurs boss because he can play both centre-back and right-back. In 2022–2023, Sutalo was a dependable member of the Dinamo Zagreb squad. He has made nine league appearances and shone in the Champions League victory over Chelsea for the Croatian champions.

Ibrahim Sangare

This summer, Tottenham are prepared to compete for the signature of PSV's Ibrahim Sangare, with the Dutch club apparently prepared to sell the midfielder. Last year, the Ivory Coast international was rumoured to be moving to England, but he ultimately extended his contract with Eindhoven through June 2027.

James Maddison

This summer, Tottenham Hotspur may negotiate a contract for James Maddison at a discount. The Spurs have been keeping tabs on Maddison for a while. In order to replace Christian Eriksen, The Express reported in 2019 that Leicester City had offered them £60 million for the playmaker. The Lilywhites are back in the running to sign the England playmaker, who will enter the last year of his contract next season.

Kolo Muani

Spurs and Manchester United are also eager to bolster their forward lines this summer, and a "concrete bid" has been made for Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Randal Kolo Muani. In response to Tottenham Hotspur's interest, the Europa League champions have placed an £88 million price tag on his head and claim to be open to selling for the appropriate offer.
