We are going to have some big games in Gameweek 8 of the Premier League. Manchester United will face off against Everton but the highlight game of the week is undoubtedly going to be Manchester City vs Liverpool. While Liverpool is at no.1 and Manchester City 10th, things are far from set in stone, and Pep Guardiola’s squad will definitely try to improve their stance in the coming game.
With so many exciting matches, people will be careful with how they will approach the FPL. Here are some Great picks for gameweek 8 in FPL :
1. Patrick Bamford (FWD; Leeds):
Leeds is up against Crystal Palace. Bamford has been performing very well recently, scoring a hattrick. He is one of the top points-scorers in the FPL.He will look to score again after losing the last game against Leicester City. Crystal Palace are not exactly an easy opponent but given his form and the fact that he goes for 6.0 it’s hard not to go with the Leeds striker.
2. Wilfried Zaha (MID; Crystal Palace):
Zaha has done very well in the PL with 49 points so far. He has scored 23 points in just the last 3 games. He is up against the previously mentioned Leeds and could possibly deliver a victory to Crystal Palace. He has had 6 goal contributions so far with 1 clean sheet to his name as well. Zaha is in a position to score a lot of points and while Leeds is playing well, they are far from a top tier team like Liverpool. He could easily rake in decent points.
3. Heung-Min Son (MID;Tottenham):
While Son is very expensive at 9.6, it is a steal considering he still has not entered double digit territory. He has scored 71 points and is by far the leader in terms of FPL points. He has had only 3 matches where he did not score double digits so far. His combination with Harry Kane is undeniable. He is up against West Brom, who are struggling to say the least so it is hard not see why would be a superb pick.
4. Jorginho (MID; Chelsea):
With 5 goal contributions, Jorginho is a good pick for this week. He is up against a struggling Sheffield and you can easily picture him scoring a lot of points, via clean sheet and an assist or even a goal. He has shown that he can perform such feats in previous games. He is only going for 5.3 as well.
5. Tyrone Mings (DEF; Aston Villa):
The Aston Villa defender has scored 36 points so far and is going for just 5.2. Opponents Arsenal have scored only 9 goals so far so it is not overly enthusiastic to say that Aston Villa could walk out with a clean sheet here. Mings has had 3 goal contributions so far so it’s not unlikely that he could walk out of the game with another contribution.
