T20 is the most destructive form of cricket. Every fan who watches a T20 match expects fireworks with the bat from the batsmen. Provided there are only 120 balls in the entire match it is very difficult to score high scores in every match. But there are players who have managed to score runs that are equivalent as an ODI high score.
Here is the list of the top 5 players with highest individual scores in T20 cricket:
1. Aaron Finch:
It can be said undoubtedly that Aaron Finch is the most destructive player in T20 history. This Australian opener has written his name along with some of the biggest batting figures in T20. One among those batting figures is the highest individual score in T20. In the match against Zimbabwe which was held on 3rd July 2018, Finch scored the highest individual score in T20 cricket. He scored a whopping 172 runs from 72 balls which includes 10 sixes and 16 boundaries. This is the highest individual score in International T20 history so far.
2. Hazratullah Zazai:
Even though Afghanistan is a newbie to the game, this country has shown its talent in cricket with a short span of time. The match against Ireland at Dehradun on 23rd February 2019 witnessed another fine innings from an Afghan player. In that match, Hazratullah Zazai scored the second highest individual score in the T20I history. In that match Zazai scored a fast 162* runs from 62 balls which includes 16 sixes and 11 boundaries. This remains the second highest individual score in T20I.

3. Aaron Finch:
Aaron Finch is very busy writing T20 batting records in his name. This player has the highest individual as well as the third highest individual score in T20I. Finch scored 156 runs against England in a match held at Southampton on 29th August 2013. His 16 runs was from just 64 balls and also included 14 sixes and 11 boundaries. This remained the highest T20I individual score till 2018 when Finch himself broke this score.
4. Glen Maxwell:
Yet another Australian batsman well known for his powerful shots, Glen Maxwell has the fourth highest individual score in International T20 history written down in his name. On 6th September 2016 Maxwell scored a total of 145* runs against Sri Lanka which included 9 sixes and 14 boundaries.

5. HG Munsey:
Scottish international HG Munsey holds the record of scoring the fifth highest individual score in T20I. He scored a total of 127* against Netherlands on 16th September 2019. His 127 runs was from 56 balls and that included 14 sixes and four boundaries.
