The most successful Indian captain ranks only behind Kohli and Tendulkar as the most followed cricketer on social media. Dhoni has 43.6 million followers across platforms of social media, with Facebook alone accounting for 20.5 million. On the other hand, the 2011 World Cup-winning captain has 15.4 and 7.7 million followers on Instagram and Twitter respectively.


4. Rohit Sharma:


The 'Hitman' cannot be left behind in this list as he has been one of the most popular cricketers of current times. Rohit Sharma has gained a total of 14.7 million followers on Twitter and over 11 million on Facebook. Rohit is also super active on Instagram where he is followed by 10.5 million people.

With a total of 20.3 million followers on social media, Harbhajan Singh comes seventh in terms of most popular cricketer on social media. The 'Turbanator' has an active Twitter account of 10.1 million followers, while his Facebook and Instagram handles have 6.6 and 3.6 million followers respectively.


8. AB de Villiers:


With Indian taking up the top seven spots, AB de Villiers is the most followed non-Indian and the eighth most followed cricketer on social media. Mr. 360 has a total of 18.8 million followers with 8.5 accounting from Instagram only.
