199 vs West Indies in Jamaica (2015)

This incredible innings by Steve Smith at Kingston, Jamaica is one of his finest test match knocks among so many other great innings. In this match, Australia were in a real spot of bother in their innings as the West Indies bowlers looked like they were going to dismiss the Australian team for a very small score but Steve Smith stood in their way and started to slowly build the innings and by each passing stroke his confidence grew by leaps and bounds and the West Indies bowlers didn’t know what to do and where to bowl to him. He hit his century and even after there was no stopping him as he went on to make an amazing 199 runs but agonisingly fell short of a double hundred by 1 run.

192 vs India in MCG (2014)

The Indian fans would not want to remember this knock but Steve Smith made such a tremendous Marl in this innings that it became one of his very best in test cricket. It was a tricky innings as David Warner had got out cheaply but the ever determined Smith got in the middle and started dominating the Indian bowling attack and hitting them to all parts of the ground and brought up his century and after that he got even more aggressive and with help from the middle and lower order batters he hit a wonderful 192 against a good India attack and again showed why he is among the very best in the world.

144 and 142 vs England in Edgbaston (2019)

We will count these two innings as one because of the situation they came in and circumstances from the outside as he was returning back after a 12 month suspension from cricket because of ball tampering as it is not easy to come back after so long and perform like the way he did. He owned the ground, the English bowlers and the crowd in this match. In the first innings Australia were 17/2 , but then came the ever rescuer Steve Smith who made a scintillating 144 and even the English crowd who hated him stood up to applaud the greatness that they were witness to. As if the first innings was not enough Steve Smith again imposed himself against a very good English attack and scored a brilliant 142 runs which helped Australia win that match by a huge margin of 251 runs. It was like he hadn’t left and was just back to normal.

211 vs England at Old Trafford (2019)

This incredible double hundred also came in that Ashes series of 2019 where he was coming back in the game after 1 year. He wasn’t any mere mortal and this innings again showed it, it looked like he wanted to take out all his anger, frustration from the past year against the England bowling attack and he smashed all of them including the great Jimmy Anderson as he pulverized the spirits of the crowd as well and Australia demolished England in that match as well by 185 runs, Steve Smith was back and better than ever. Truly a one of a kind player.

103 vs India in Pune (2017)

This knock was the innings which proved that Steve Smith was an all track player as on a turning track like Pune to play such an incredible innings showed all his class and skills against a great spin attack by India abs he destroyed the Indian attack and Australia with the back of his incredible hundred beat India by a massive 333 runs and to this day this knock is very special to Steve Smith.
