The 31-year-old Austrian slow left-arm orthodox bowler Shahil Momin created history last Saturday (4th June) by becoming the first bowler in T20 cricket history to claim four-wicket hauls twice on the same day.
Austria are currently busy hosting a three-match T20I series against Hungary. The first two T20Is of this series were played on 4th June 2022 in Lower Austria. Austria won the first game of this series by 105 runs, while the second game had no result after the rain forced them not to start the second innings of that game.

1st T20I: Shahil Momin had the bowling figures of 3.3-1-19-4
Austria batted first and scored 201/5 in 20 overs during the T20I series opener. There were no fifties in that innings, but three Austrian batters reached 40s.
Chasing down that big T20I target, Hungary were bundled out for 96 runs in 17.3 overs. Only the opener Zeeshan Kukikhel (21) and wicketkeeper-batter Abhishek Ahuja (23) managed two-digit scores in that innings apart from 16 extras.
While Shahil Momin had the bowling figures of 3.3-1-19-4, the Austrian new-ball bowler Ahsan Yousuf also finished with the bowling figures of 4-0-24-3.

2nd T20I: Shahil Momin had the bowling figures of 4-0-22-4
In the next game on the same day, the visitors Hungary were once again bundled out for just 89 runs in 16 overs after losing the toss. This time the extras were the highest scorer in the innings with 21, while only the opener Satyadeep Ashwathnarayana (15) and Abhishek Ahuja (12) ended with the double-digit scores.
Once again, Shahil Momin took four wickets as he finished that innings with the bowling figures of 4-0-22-4. Also, Amit Nathwani collected three wickets in that innings (3-0-14-3).
The second innings of that game couldn’t start due to rain. With that no result, Austria are leading this home T20I series by 1-0 with one more game to go. The series-decider will be played on Sunday (5th July).
Shahil Momin became the 1st bowler to claim T20 four-wicket hauls in two consecutive innings on the same day
Momin became the 15th bowler in T20I history and 68th bowler in overall men’s T20 cricket history who managed to claim four-wicket hauls in two consecutive matches. However, the Austrian slow left-arm orthodox bowler became the first bowler to take four wickets in two consecutive T20 matches on the same day.
Momin also has a great chance to become the first T20I bowler and fourth T20 bowler to claim three consecutive four-wicket hauls.
