Greatest Players who failed to win an NBA title

"Who is the greatest basketball player of all time?" is a question that nearly invariably leads to a debate about how many rings each player has. The majority of the guys have accomplished tremendous things and are either Hall of Famers or will be Hall of Famers in the future. During their careers, some of these players have won multiple championships. These athletes led their teams to victory and helped their cities win championships. Jordan is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history, and he achieved a tremendous deal during his career. Jordan is a five-time MVP, a 10-time scoring champion, Defensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year, in addition to being a six-time champion.

On the same hand, people on the other side of the coin are frequently dinged for not having any rings when the league's all-time rankings are compiled. Some of these players attempted to join other teams in the hopes of winning a title. Unfortunately, this did not materialise, and these players were never able to win the titles they craved. They are not alone; many others failed to complete the work. What are the five greatest NBA players who have never won a title? Let's have a look.

5. Allen Iverson

Iverson spent 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), playing both shooting guard and point guard. Iverson was an 11-time NBA All-Star, the 2001 and 2005 All-Star Game MVP, and the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2001. In 2016, he was named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Iverson averaged 28.0 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.3 steals in his first ten seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers. During that time, he was first, 22nd, and first in those three numbers. In 2008, ESPN ranked him as the sixth-best NBA shooting guard of all time. Individually, Iverson did practically everything there was to achieve, but he failed to win a championship, which will now haunt him for the rest of his life.

4. John Stockton

Stockton played point guard with the Utah Jazz throughout his entire NBA career (1984–2003), and the team made the playoffs in each of his 19 seasons. Stockton and his longtime colleague Karl Malone led the Jazz to their only two NBA Finals appearances in 1997 and 1998, losing both series. Stockton is a two-time Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and a ten-time NBA All-Star. By a large amount, Stockton holds the NBA records for most career assists and steals. Even though he lost, Stockton built a name for himself and had an incredible, legendary career. He averaged 15.6 points, 12.8 assists, and 2.6 steals while shooting 61.9 per cent true from 1987-88 through 1996-97. Few players in NBA history have a statistical resume that compares to this one, even among champions.

3. Tracy McGrady

McGrady is a seven-time NBA All-Star, seven-time All-NBA pick, two-time NBA scoring champion, and one-time NBA Most Improved Player Award winner. As a member of the Class of 2017, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Tracy McGrady led the NBA with a 10.5 box plus/minus in 2002-03, which is also the 20th-best single-season mark in NBA history. McGrady led the league to score that season, averaging 32.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.3 three-pointers, and 1.7 steals a game. That season, he did everything for Orlando, effectively acting as a 6'8" point guard and leading the team to the playoffs. McGrady may not have won an MVP award or a title, but he was a dominant force throughout most of the 2000s.

2. Karl Malone

Malone played 18 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Utah Jazz, where he created a dangerous tandem with teammate John Stockton. He was a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, a 14-time NBA All-Star, and an 11-time All-NBA first-team selection. His 36,928 career points are second only to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in NBA history, and he holds the records for most free throws attempted and made, as well as being tied for second with Kobe Bryant and behind LeBron James in terms of first-team All-NBA choices. Simply told, Malone was one of the game's most prolific and long-lasting scorers. He and John Stockton were one of the best NBA duos ever. Malone accomplished a lot, but he never won the championship he wanted. As things stand, he only just missed the distinction.

1. Charles Barkley

Barkley was an 11-time NBA All-Star, an 11-time All-NBA Team member, and the NBA Most Valuable Player in 1993. (MVP). In 1993, he defeated Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon to win the NBA MVP award. On the floor, Barkley was a great rebounder and a physical threat. He didn't mind getting his hands dirty, and if fights happened, Barkley was up for it. Barkley was selected fifth overall in the 1984 NFL Draft. He was drafted alongside Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, and John Stockton, among others. Barkley was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers, where he spent eight years as a player. During Barkley's time with the Sixers, they made the playoffs six times. In 1992, Barkley was traded to the Phoenix Suns. In his first season, he won the MVP award and led the Suns to the NBA Finals. The Suns had a fantastic chance to win the Finals, but they were defeated by Michael Jordan and the Bulls. The Bulls won the series 4-2 against the Suns. Barkley was purchased by the Houston Rockets from the Phoenix Suns in 1996. The Rockets, on the other hand, failed to go past the Conference Finals in his four years with them. He accomplished a lot, yet he was never able to win a championship.
