I wanted to do his profile first but since the World Athletics Championships were going on so was waiting for his event to close and for him to get yet another historic medal and now that had happened and I van write about probably one of the greatest Indian athletes of all time and he is just 24. What he will do later on in his career is for everyone to guess and see. It is an honour to do ab article on a reigning Olympic Champion.
Neeraj Chopra is the toast of the nation yet again today after he won the silver medal in the World Championship after the Gold Medal he won In the Tokyo Olympics last year. Neeraj has only gotten better and is ever so close to breaching that 90M mark and hopefully in the Commonwealth Games he will do that. I love watching him throw the Javelin. Neeraj Chopra was born on 24th December 1997 in Haryana which is the sporting state of India as he is its greatest creation. Neeraj got into Javelin by accident as he wanted to reduce weight and from there he has become one of the best in the world. Neeraj Chopra is 6 ft tall and he uses all that height to his advantage while throwing that Javelin over 85M consistently. Neeraj Chopra is also a member of the Indian Army from the year 2016 and from there he has learned calmness and discipline.

Career
His Javelin career started in 2016 and in that year itself he won a gold medal with the best throw at the U20 Championship and since then his accent has been mercurial and he will not stop anytime soon. He got injured in 2019 very badly and it looked like he would not be able to make the Olympics but then Covid hit and the Olympics had to be postponed to 2021 which allowed him a full recovery and the rest is history. He has a good 10 year career still ahead of him and he can win all the medals and be the greatest of all time.

Neeraj Chopra was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2018 and the Vishisht Seva Medal from the Army in 2020. He has also won the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award in 2021 and the Padma Shri Award this year in 2022 and if he keeps going on like this then Padma Bhushan is not far away for him.
