Zimbabwe is hosting the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 (18 June-9 July 2023), where ten teams are battling for the last two spots for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
How to qualify for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023?
In the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, Sri Lanka will begin from Group B. The other four teams in this Group B are Ireland, Scotland, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. The Lankan team will play one game against all the other teams in this group.
At the end of the Group Stage, the top three teams of each of the two groups will advance to the Super Six of this competition.
Later, in the Super Six, each team will play one match only against each of the three teams from the other group. At the end of the Super Six, the top two teams will advance to the Final of the tournament as well as qualify for the last two spots for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
In the Final of the Qualifier, the winners will be handed the tournament trophy.

India will host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 between October and November 2023. A total of ten teams, including the two finalists of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, will participate in this 13th edition of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup competition.
Sri Lanka have appeared in every ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup till 2019. In 1979, they experienced their first ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, where they finished as the Champions to advance to the 1979 Cricket World Cup. The 2023 edition will be their only second appearance in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier history.
