During the fourth game at the WPL 2024, South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp had an important role with the ball during Delhi Capitals Women’s first win of the season by thrashing UP Warriorz Women by nine wickets. In that game, the 34-year-old right-arm medium bowler Kapp equalled the record for the best bowling economy rate in a WPL innings.
Marizanne Kapp’s bowling figures 4-1-5-3 controlled Warriorz's batting line-up, who only managed to score 119/9 in 20 overs. In reply, Delhi Capitals chased the target in 14.3 overs after losing only one wicket.

Kapp is one of the famous South African Women cricketers. Apart from strong international batting records, Kapp is also the second most wicket-taker for South African Women in their Women’s ODI and Women’s T20I cricket history. She was the third bowler and first South African Women's bowler to record a hat-trick in Women's T20I history.

Undoubtedly, Matthews also finished with a bowling economy rate of 1.25 after completing her four overs quota.
