The deadlock was broken by Ahmed Jahouh’s penalty in the second half before centre-back Mourtada Fall scored an emphatic brace from set play to put the holders in the driving seat. Goa did manage to pull two goals back because of the home side’s sloppiness later on in the match but failed to mount a comeback. The Kalinga Warriors extended their winning run to five games and unbeaten streak to 15, building up excellent momentum ahead of their semi-final clash with ISL Shield holders Mumbai City FC. Indeed, it will be a shock if the defending champions do not move into another Super Cup final.
